Ryan started learning piano at the age of 10 and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Music in Composition. Ryan began to teach piano in 2017 and knew how important it is for children to learn music. Classically trained as a pianist and a composer with over 13 years of musical experience, he encourages his students to learn and appreciate the beauty of music and believes that there is no limit for the children's abilities and imagination. Ryan reinforces good techniques and a strong fundamental for her students from the very beginning. Several of his students completed Royal Conservatory of Music exams from beginner to advanced levels with Honours &/or Distinction. He also encourages her students to participate in recitals and competitions such as Oilsands Rotary Music Festival. Ryan has won 1st in competitions (CFMTA nationals music festival, ARMTA provincial music festival) and participated in several music festivals where he had master classes with world class musicians.

I've been playing piano under my mentor and piano instructor Ryan, and I have grown my piano skills under his wing. I've won an award at the piano composer’s competition in Calgary by the APTA, and earned gold twice and silver once during my recent music festival. I've always had a passion for music ever since I was a young toddler. I compose music on the side whenever I feel the need to escape the stresses of life and unleash my emotions on the piano. With that, I want to help beginner learners find joy and open their inner-self through the piano, like I did. I am friendly, patient, and get along great with young kids and teens! I'm excited to change people's lives through music.
